As per schedule the statewide BPMO Jatha demanding 15 point agenda for improvement of lives has started when CPI(M) leader Buddhadeb bhattacharjee inaugurated the central Jatha in the city of Kolkata. BPMO Kolkata District started the Jatha today from Jadavpur 8B Bus stand, where thousands of volunteers attended. Before the Jatha started, the convener of the BPMO Steering Committee, Shyamal Chakraborty said that 'this jatha would cover 77000 booths all over the state. BPMO is going to organize more than 11000 street corners and meetings to reach every person of the state. BPMO has also made its slogan for movements, “Trinamool Hatao, Desh Bachao” (Defeat Trinamool to save the country).

Shyamal Chakraborty also said that people of the state are facing mountain of problems. This Jatha programme would reach every person to unite them for a better tomorrow. In 1977 the united platform of mass organization had achieved a colossal success uniting people against the semi-fascist government, and now BPMO will serve the same.

Several districts have already witnessed the Jatha Rally throughout the day. Delegates 113 mass organizations participated in this jatha. CPI (M) leader Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee has started the Central Jatha formally.
